The JRC team responded quickly after authorities confiscated 10 green sea turtles and 138 eggs from poachers in Limón. The turtles were treated for injuries, including wounds from being tied and harpoon damage, and are now under the care of the veterinary team.

On Monday, July 17th, three majestic green sea turtles were joyfully released back into their natural habitat.

13 wounded green sea turtles arrived at Jaguar Rescue Center.
