When an animal arrives at the center the main goal is not only to release it back into the wild but to also make sure that they thrive on their own. Along with the Sloth Conservation Foundation we’ve developed a system to track the sloths that have been released with daily tracking in the forest. Each one is tracked for a period of two years.
We are trying to raise funds to track more sloths, each radio collar costs about 200$ and it’s super important for us to know if the release was successful and that the animal is in good health and safe.
