Climate change and biodiversity

Global warming is starting to have a major impact on biodiversity and the environment. Nowadays, the life cycles of many animals are disrupted. For instance, the proliferation of various plants has modified the diets of many herbivores, and the rise in insect populations has altered the food supplies of many bird species. Not to be forgotten is the suffering Arctic animals face because of the melting of polar ice coverings.

Deforestation and high temperatures: Huge Enemies

These interruptions are getting more frequent, but the circumstances surrounding howler monkeys lately have been severe. These monkeys are dying from severe dehydration because the high temperatures have made it impossible for them to control their body temperature. Deforestation makes this issue worse since forest vegetation helps to control temperature.

This is a serious issue, and many groups are putting in great effort to reduce the harm done to diverse species. Please contact us if you would wish to work together or assist; we will provide you with details about the groups that are now working on it.
